GENERAL INFORMATION
When: Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 8:00a.m.
Where: Auditorium Shores
What: 5 person Marathon Relay Race benefiting Junior Achievement. The five relay legs are run in the following order: 10K, 11.1K, 11.1K, 5K, 5K. All relay legs will hand off in the same location near the start/finish line. Registration is online HERE; you will be able to pick up a paper registration form at any RunTex location starting in August.
Beneficiary: Junior Achievement (JA) is an economic education non-profit organization dedicated to teaching children about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness. JA teaches kids how America works!
Packet Pick-Up:
Friday, September 19th at RunTex Riverside during store hours
Saturday, September 20th at RunTex Riverside during store hours
Course: Start/Finish and all Exchange Zones are located at Auditorium Shores. The final Course Map will be posted in June.
Parking: Parking will be available at both the 200 W. Cesar Chavez and 400 W. Cesar Chavez parking garages. Drivers must present runner bibs for access.
Picnic Area: Auditorium Shores will be open for all teammates, families and volunteers to gather. There will be food vendors, a place for runners to warm up and activities for the spectators. We encourage you to bring a picnic with your food and beverage of choice (alcohol is not allowed to be brought onto the premises).
Timing: The event will be timed by Run-Far Racing Services and will use the ChampionChip technology. All five runners on the Relay team will be chip timed.
